Sarah Hathiari is a research assistant with the IIASA Advancing Systems Analysis (ASA) Program. She is currently working toward an MSc in Economics at the Vienna University of Economics & Business (WU). She previously attained a BA in Economics from the University of Leicester in the UK.
Ms. Hathiari previously worked as a part-time research assistant at the Heterodox Institute for WU in 2020/21. In 2020, she published a working paper with the European Policy Crossover Center on international relations, and has also published content for WU Standpunkte, a student academic magazine. She has held an active interest in social impact projects; having volunteered as a consultant for charities with 180 Degrees Vienna in 2020, and has strong leadership experience from leading a team of over 70+ student volunteers in 2017/18 for community projects under Enactus Leicester, a student organization. She is fluent in English, Hindi, Gujarati, and Urdu as well as beginner proficiency in German.
