Researcher Exploratory Modeling of Human-natural Systems Research Group - Advancing Systems Analysis Program
Anna Shchiptsova joined the Advanced Systems Analysis (ASA) Program as a Research Assistant in March 2014.
Dr. Shchiptsova graduated in 2010 from the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Informatics, Petrozavodsk State University, Russia. Starting in 2010, she was a postgraduate and then a junior researcher in the Institute of Applied Mathematical Research of the Karelian Research Centre of the RAS, Russia.
Before joining IIASA, Dr. Shchiptsova's main research topic was applications of game-theoretical methods in location theory. In 2013 she defended her PhD thesis "Game-Theoretic Models of Facility Location and Their Applications" at Petrozavodsk State University.
From 2008 on, Dr. Shchiptsova worked as a programmer at Petrozavodsk State University Metso Automation Systems Center, where she participated in industrial automation projects of Metso Corporation. She has experience in object oriented application development.
