Following on from an international and bilingual (English and German) upbringing and education at the Vienna International School, Lindsay Smith received her BSc in ''International Management with German'' from Bath University (UK). Her formal academic studies included organizational development, change management, and economics etc. and have been complemented by several vocational trainings in Human Resources Management, with a main emphasis on employment law and personnel administration.
Lindsay joined IIASA with six years of practical work experience in HR, having worked both as an HR Generalist and HR Specialist in national as well as large international concerns. Her main areas of focus to date have been hands-on operational procedures and HR administration.
