Laura Warnecke joined IIASA in 2020, and is a research assistant in the Pollution Management (PM) Research Group within the Energy, Climate, and Environment (ECE) Program. Here, she primarily works on the data manipulation and import for the GAINS model with a focus on the energy and transport sectors.
Ms. Warnecke holds a Master's degree in Economics from the Heidelberg University and focused on environmental economics and statistical modeling throughout her studies. She wrote her thesis about the development of electricity demand and supply scenarios in India in collaboration with the Helmholtz-Centre for Environmental Research in Leipzig.
