The European Geophysical Union (EGU) General Assembly brings together researchers from all over the world in a meeting covering all disciplines of earth, space, and planetary sciences.

Seven researchers from IIASA’s Ecosystems Services and Management program attended the conference, with new research on biofuels, greenhouse gas emissions from land use, and forest fires and climate change. Another 3 researchers from the Risk, Policy, and Vulnerability program brought new insights on disaster risk management and financing for disaster response and preparedness. And researchers affiliated with IIASA’s Energy and Mitigation of Air Pollution and Greenhouse Gases programs presented new findings on air quality policies around the world.

IIASA researchers will also participate in several press conferences during the meeting. Details for journalists are available on the IIASA Media Center Web page.
