Japanese Ambassador to Austria visits IIASA
Discussions focused on current interactions between IIASA and Japan and potential opportunities to strengthen these collaborations. Prof. Kabat outlined IIASA’s strategic direction and his vision for the growth of the organization, particularly IIASA’s role as a global ‘hub’ for systems science and as a major contributor to global-scale integrated assessments, such as the Global Energy Assessment and future global water assessments, both areas are of special interest to Japan.
