The Slovak Committee for Cooperation with IIASA, made up of representatives of the Slovak government and scholarly community, will help to build and develop productive research collaborations between researchers at IIASA, in the Slovak Republic and other IIASA member countries.

Together IIASA and the Slovak Committee will promote systems analysis as a research field and its application to solve complex problems that span international boundaries or are common to many countries. Such activities will build on existing research cooperation between researchers at IIASA, the Soil Science and Conservation Research Institute, Comenius University, Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute and the Ministry of the Environment.

Further the Slovak Committee will engage with other IIASA members to collectively carry out joint projects into critical global and regional issues that contribute to the global commons.
