The prize was awarded to the best speakers on the theme of “Learning in the 21st Century,” part of the Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF) which took place last week in Copenhagen. The award was shared with the science communication project Wissenschaft in Dialog, which organized the session, and a student participant in the European Students Parliament.
Lutz spoke about the relevance of demography, education and science for the future of Europe, in a “fishbowl” dialogue, which communicated the results of the Students Parliament to the participants of ESOF in a dynamic conversation.
In another session organized by the European Research Council (ERC) Lutz presented the results of his ERC Advanced Grant on “Forecasting Societies’ Adaptive Capacities to Climate Change." It was part of the first round of ERC grants and comes to a conclusion this summer. The Euroscience Open Forum is the largest interdisciplinary science conference in Europe.
