The meeting is dedicated to innovation ecosystems which encourage the development of entrepreneurial and research activities and facilitate the set-up of companies that could be successful in the global market. Risk perceptions are an essential factor that can influence decisions regarding innovation and investment into innovation which is connected with technological development.

Nadejda Komendantova discusses the features of Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis  (MCDA) as a tool which facilitates risk perceptions of various groups of stakeholders. She provides examples of application of MCDA from various projects including energy policy in the Middle East and North African (MENA) region and communication and social media policy in the European Union.
