Optimization of Resource Productivity for Sustainable Economic Development

This research project focuses on analysis of resource productivity as one of the major drivers of economic growth, closely associated with environmental pressures and playing an increasingly significant role in Asia and in Latin America.

The project involves usage of material flow analysis, mathematical theory of optimal control, endogenous economic growth theory, econometric analysis, numerical mathematics and simulations for exploration evolution in resource productivity, and for characterization of a country’s optimal strategy for improving resource conservation and resource management practices. China is the country under the study.
