Research Software Developer Novel Data Ecosystems for Sustainability Research Group - Advancing Systems Analysis Program
Martina Durauer joined IIASA's Ecosystems Services and Management (ESM) Program in March 2013 as a Research Scholar in the Earth Observation Systems (EOS) Group, where she is participating in the development of a geospatial infrastructure and is involved in the Geo-Wiki project. In 2007 and 2008, she worked for the Austrian Federal Forests on various projects in the fields of GIS, Web and application programing. In the summer of 2008, she worked for the Bavarian State Forestry carrying out GIS analysis. During her master-thesis she began to focus on metadata visualization. From 2009 until 2013, she worked for the research subsidiary of the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt FOTEC Forschungs- und Technologietransfer GmbH, as a Technologist in the fields of application and Web programing, database development, and GIS. During this time she was also employed as an external lecturer for programing and Web technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Wiener Neustadt.
Ms. Durauer received her MSc degree in information technology/geomatics in 2009, from the University of Applied Sciences in Wiener Neustadt, Austria. Her research interests are: Database design, programing, WebGIS and social networks.
