Dr. Nordstrom received her master's degree in forestry in 2001 and her doctorate in 2010, both from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Umea, Sweden. Her PhD work focused on integrating methods for multiple criteria decision analysis into forest planning situations with conflicting values and multiple stakeholders. Her main scientific interest is in forest management planning and forest policy.
From January 2012 to October 2013, Dr. Nordstrom was a Postdoctoral Research Scholar (financed by the Swedish Kempe Foundation) with the ESM program. During this time she worked on scenario analysis for the forest sector concentrating on global and local analysis with special focus on Scandinavia and Sweden.
