RefleXions: researching, educating and acting for sustainable development

On the occasion of its 225th anniversary the École Polytechnique is holding an international scientific symposium to discuss responses of education and research institutions to the challenges for sustainable development. The symposium brings together renowned names from science and industry to share their expertise and first-hand experience.

Dr. Markus Amann, Director of the Air Quality and Greenhouse Gases Program has been invited as speaker at the international symposium and member of the round table discussing "Breath and nourishment: urgent challenges for health". His talk will suggest a systems perspective to connect the public concern on the near-term health impacts of local air pollution health to action that contributes to the transformations required for achieving long-term and global sustainability.
