The project, Sustaining and Improving Rural Livelihoods through Adaptive Approaches to Land, Soil Nutrient and Water Management, is a collaboration of IIASA and the Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC). The project will be developed along three lines:
- Joint project with the National Institute of Hydrology (NIH) in Roorkee in Uttarakhand, northern India. “Integrating hydrology and integrated water resource management (IWRM) with livelihood issues: Development of methodology and a decision-support system for the water-scarce Bundelkhand region in India."
- Joint project with the Centre for Water Resources Development and Management (CWRDM), Kerala, southwest India. “Evaluation of soil nutrient budgets at field, farm and regional level in the humid tropics of Kerala and development of a model for management of soil health."
- Joint project with the Livelihoods and Natural Resources Management Institute (LNRMI) Hyderabad, Central India. “Climate Change Adaptation Approaches for Sustainable Livelihoods.”
