Green Conference

IIASA aims to reduce the carbon footprint of the conference. The largest greenhouse gas emissions are from travel.  

• IIASA will off-set the carbon emissions generated by speakers traveling to the conference by supporting the Kikonda Forest Reserve project in Uganda (certified Carbon Fix Standard).
• The Institute also encourages all delegates travelling to the conference to off-set their carbon emissions. For participants unable to off-set their carbon emissions, IIASA will off-set emissions on their behalf. Please see the conference registration form for more information.
• Please also consider train travel and combining your trip with other business.
• Vienna’s public transport is excellent and provides easy connections between the city and the airport.

• Catering will also be eco-friendly.
