Scientific achievements in 2013

Within these themes, RPV research makes significant contributions to all three of IIASA strategic research areas. A large set of externally funded projects also allow RPV to pursue its strategic research aims with leading researchers globally.

Importantly, a large cross-cutting project on Flood Resilience has been started with the Wharton Business School, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Practical Action, and other external partners. This work, which is being undertaken in close collaboration with the Water and Ecosystems Services and Management programs, is novel in the way it brings together scientists and integrates research work with the private sector and IIASA NMO partners.
