Fanqi Jia joined the Integrated Biosphere Futures Research Group of the IIASA Biodiversity and Natural Resources Program in September 2022. Her research interests include the impact of climate change on land use and land cover, and climate change mitigation strategies.
Jia holds a Master's degree in Environmental Management from Duke University, and a Bachelor's degree in Geography/Environmental Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in the US. Before joining IIASA, she worked as a risk consultant at Verisk Extreme Event Solutions and was an ORISE Fellow at the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
