Eunbeen Park joined the Agriculture, Forestry, and Ecosystem Services Research Group of the IIASA Biodiversity and Natural Resources Programme as part of the YSSP in 2021. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at IIASA, supported by the NRF of South Korea.
She received a PhD in environmental planning and landscape architecture from the Department of Environmental Science and Ecological Engineering at Korea University. During her PhD studies, she focused on developing a diagnostic prediction model (DPM) that calibrates and predicts future environmental target information by reflecting the current land surface status obtained from satellite images. Her professional background centres around spatiotemporal modeling, with particular focus on disasters (droughts and floods), disaster risk reduction, and risk assessment for agriculture and forestry sectors under climate change.
