Guest Research Scholar Economic Frontiers Program
Claudia Reiter joined the Social Cohesion, Health, and Wellbeing (SHAW) Research Group of the IIASA Population and Just Societies (POPJUS) Program as a research scholar in September 2022. She completed her doctoral studies in Demography at the Vienna Doctoral School of Social Sciences and her master's degree in Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Her main research focus is demography of education and skills, measures of (skills-adjusted) human capital, as well as demographic aspects related to wellbeing and sustainable development. She is also interested in the interrelation between environmental change and population dynamics.
Before joining IIASA, she was a research assistant at the Department of Demography at the University of Vienna, where she still holds a position and teaches several courses in the Global Demography master's program. Before that, she also worked at the Vienna Institute of Demography of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
