IIASA intensifies relationships with Korea
Activities included the signing of memorandums of understanding with:
- The ASEAN-ROK Forest Cooperation (AFoCo) Secretariat to cooperate on a range of research areas including forest management and biofuels;
- The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) to establish research collaborations in the areas of green technology diffusion and deployment among other areas;
- Korea University to develop research and scientific exchange activities; and
- The Global Green Growth Institute to develop green economic growth options and to establish further collaborations.
Meetings also took place with the Korean Vice-Minister of Environment and the Director General of the National Institute for Environmental Research among others.
