IIASA is following all public health guidance issued by the Austrian government regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic and has closed its buildings in Laxenburg. Until there is a change in current government measures, researchers and support staff are working remotely from home and can be contacted by email.

In these critical times policymakers look to the research community to provide scientific evidence for informed decisions. Governments need to be able to respond quickly and in an internationally coordinated way to protect their citizens, taking into account also the long-term consequences. IIASA continues to develop holistic solutions for tackling systemic challenges.
