24 February 2020 - 25 February 2020
IIASA, Laxenburg, Austria
In particular, this workshop will include sessions of CODATA’s Task Group on Advanced mathematical tools for data-driven applied systems analysis, whose objective is to develop an advanced mathematical toolkit for the wide spectrum of applied systems analysis problems that can be expected in the near future with the growth of the global digital economy. Speakers of these sessions will present their thoughts and research results on a broad spectrum of topics from the vulnerability of large-scale digitized socio-technological systems and the impact of robotization to methodological advances in data science.
The workshop will also include a presentation on the best modern practices of data management in science from CODATA followed by a discussion. This part of the workshop aims to contribute to the IIASA endeavor to arrange a more systematic way of managing our data and models.
Interested researchers are invited to submit articles to a volume in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science / Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence (LNCS/LNAI) series entitled Advanced Mathematical Tools for Data-Driven Applied Systems Analysis to Assess Vulnerability of Digitized Socio-Technological Systems co-edited by Professor Igor Sheremet and Professor Fred Roberts.
The volume is intended to feature articles contributing to the following themes:
There are no formal requirements to the article length or other parameters.
Questions, expressions of interest, and submissions should be addressed to the volume co-editors:
Professor Fred Roberts, Director of Command, Control and Interoperability Center for Advanced Data Analysis (CCICADA), Emeritus and Interim Director of the Center for Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science (DIMACS), Rutgers University:
Professor Igor Sheremet, Deputy Director for Science of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, Corresponding Member of Russian Academy of Sciences:
