Tata Province, Morocco
In cooperation with the Austrian Institute for International Politics (OIIP) and the Moroccan scientific organization MENA Renewables and Sustainability, Risk and Resilience researcher Nadejda Komendantova is organizing a stakeholders' forum in the Tata province of Morocco, which is currently considering several options to cover its growing energy demand and to generate energy for export to other regions. The participants of the forum include; representatives of local communities, the president of the Tata province, the national utility companies, youth associations, and small and medium enterprises.
The aim of the forum is to engage stakeholders in a participative dialogue about energy transition. It also aims at mapping the different interests (who defends different viewpoints, what they are, and why).
More specifically, the discussion during the forum will include the following key questions:
The forum will take place in the framework of the Linking Climate Change Mitigation, Energy Security and Regional Development in Climate and Energy Model Regions in Austria (LINKS) project.
