Wolfgang Lutz describes in short how demographic dynamics contribute to the understanding of changes and trends in human capital, the main challenges in this regard for Latin America, how to better integrate research results in public policies, and the role of migration in human capital formation in mid-income countries like Mexico.
The interview was conducted at the Center for Demographic, Urban and Environmental Studies at the El Colegio de México in the course of its 50th anniversary celebrations.
Wolfgang Lutz was invited to speak about the integration of education and population research in global human capital formation in the series of "Conferencias Magnas" where he was the first key note speaker.
