The meeting of the high-level political forum on sustainable development in 2018 will convene under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council will be held from Monday, 9 July, to Wednesday, 18 July 2018; including the three-day ministerial meeting of the forum from Monday, 16 July, to Wednesday, 18 July 2018.
The theme will be "Transformation towards sustainable and resilient societies". The set of goals to be reviewed in depth will be the following, including Goal 17. Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development, that will be considered each year:
IIASA researchers Prof. Dr. Nebojsa Nakicenovic and Caroline Zimm will participate in a series of events, surrounding the launch of "Transformations to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals", the first report by The World in 2050 initiative (www.twi2050.org)

TWI2050 Side Event: Transformative Pathways towards sustainable and resilient societies in 2030 and beyond
The Global transformations necessary to achieve the SDGs urgently need a robust scientific foundation. The TWI2050, a partnership of some 20 institutions from around the world, aims to contribute to the science and to develop pathways to a more equitable and sustainable development.
